I'm disapointed that Spike was the hero. I like Twilight so much that I wanted her to be the hero, she's my hero too.

Hero as he is and he don't mind deserve a little stain glass spotlight when the Mane 6 had 2. :)

Spike got just about as much screen time as Twilight. He got more screen time than the rest of the mane six, the Princesses, Shining Armor, Cadence and hell even the villain.

Like "Zetastrophenow" said we are getting more character development this season and it nice to see the deep seated fears of Twilight and Spike as well as more development in their relationship as friends/parental figure and child.

About time that Spike was recognized as just as heroic as the Bearers of the Elements of Harmony. Really, because King Sombra, a milenium ago, managed to set up traps that relied solely on one pony attempting to steal back the Crystal Heart. Spike's presence alone is what saved the day. That dragon saved an entire Empire, and actually allowed Twilight to move onto her next level of studies.
